President Obama and the Party of NO

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

I didn't get to see all of it when it was 'live'; just one of those busier than normal days, when I wasn't free to watch/listen. I'm glad to find the video available at MSNBC.com, so those who wanted to watch and couldn't, are able to grab it later.

Once again, I am proud of and continue to support President Obama. How nice is it, to have an intelligent, well-spoken adult in charge! Thank you, Mr President, for all you are attempting to do. Thank you for having the patience of a saint in dealing with the asshats on the right.

I plan to watch the video again later tonight.

I Am PROUD of Our President!

I was not home to see this on the tee vee this morning, so I caught it on the web, after I got home from my meeting.

President Obama is doing the right thing--we MUST help the Haitian people.

I am just so proud, and happy that we have a caring and compassionate adult in charge now!

First 100 Days: News Conference

Tonite, President Obama did his third prime-time news conference.

He's "pleased but not satisfied" with the progress made so far. I think he's doing an excellent job. The mess our country is in did not happen in just 100 day, and it can't be fixed in 100 days either.

There's an excellent summary of the press conference here, complete with a transcript.

Oh yeah, there's also a link to listen to NPR's live coverage of the news conference.

I really like NPR. And, I really feel HOPE, with an intelligent adult in charge.

Obama's Shot at Fixed Noise

I only got to see parts of the Town Hall Meeting in Arnold, MO today, but I did catch this little gem:

LOL, that was priceless!

Weekly Address 2/28/09

A quote from today's weekly address:

I know these steps won’t sit well with the special interests and lobbyists who are invested in the old way of doing business, and I know they’re gearing up for a fight as we speak. My message to them is this:

"So am I."

I love love LOVE it! Finally, we have an unabashedly progressive voice in the White House. And, he is ready to make the changes he promised us!

Thank you President Obama! Thank you, for fighting for all of us, and not just letting the special interests continue the way they have been, and destroying us!

President Obama's "Spiffy Ride"

I watched this on CNN's website, and just thought it was cool!

I can't remember ever seeing the Air Force One personalized jacket before, with any previous presidents--is that something new, or did I just never notice it?

The Action Americans Need

This is in today's Washington Post: The Action Americans Need

President Obama (how I absolutely LOVE typing that!) says:

What Americans expect from Washington is action that matches the urgency they feel in their daily lives -- action that's swift, bold and wise enough for us to climb out of this crisis.

It's really nice, to finally have a leader, an ADULT in charge....someone who realizes that the tax cuts for the wealthy did not and will not help the rest of the country, someone who actually CARES about us.

I do not claim to know all the answers, how to fix the mess we are in, but I don't see where all those tax cuts have helped the regular working Joes and Janes,

We need some change, and YES WE CAN!

Beautiful Day!

WOW! What a beautiful, historic day it has been!

Photobucket

I have been watching all the Inauguration events all day, and now the balls. Michelle's gown is simply beautiful!

The Commander-in-Chief's Inaugural Ball: live feed/satellite thingy, with some of the Illinois National Guard from the Chicago area. President Obama talked with each of them, one on one. He mentioned a group over the, from the metro-east area, specifically SAFB. Pretty cool, and impressive! Then, the dancing: first, Barack and Michelle danced with each other, then they each danced with a service person.

I don't remember ever feeling quite this good, hopeful and excited about a new President!
