More Trouble in Alaska!

Today, AKM was 'outed' by Rep Mike Doogan, in a childish temper tantrum. It seems he stalked her for about 4 months, found out who she is, and exposed her.

I wonder, did he do all this on the state's time? That sounds comletely unethical. I am not a lawyer, and have never even played one on TV....but it sure seems to me that Alaska's citizens should be filing ethics charges against Doogan!

I am beyond pissed! Beyond outraged! Unfuckingbelievable!

Michelle Bachman

Something is seriously wrong with this woman!
---------------------------------------------

Freaks!

Seriously, I can't stop laughing! Is it a "special of the week" over in Wing Nut Land, or what?

This week, we have poor Sarah whining about "there was no one to pray with" before the VP debate:

"So I'm looking around for somebody to pray with, I just need maybe a little help, maybe a little extra," said Palin. "And the McCain campaign, love 'em, you know, they're a lot of people around me, but nobody I could find that I wanted to hold hands with and pray."

Ummmmm...why not just quietly pray by herself? Is is really necessary to have someone to pray WITH? I don't get it!

Then, I see Steele in an interview, saying he's open to running for President in 2012:
if that's part of the plan, it'll be the plan…. it'll be because that's where God wants me to be at that time."

That story is here

And, was it earlier this week, or sometime last week, that (not) Joe the NOT a Plumber told a bunch of the Repugs he was "horny?

WHAT are these fidgits smoking, drinking or rubbing into their bellies?

Whatever it is, they have been poisoned by it!

Morning Funnies

Ok, I'm having coffee and clicking around as I wake up here. First stop was a long-time favorite chat board. Can't get in there, just an error message saying the site is temporarily down. Ok, I'll try again later.

Next stop is Mudflats, to check on the Doggie Doo story. I followed a link in the comments to another story, this one about the Robo-calls happening in certain states.

This quote from the comments really made me laugh:

I'll bet only someone who does not have her interests in mind is behind this. She can't possibly have anything to do with it.

My suspicion is either Romney or Obama. It shows that they fear her.

Romney or President Obama is behind the calls?? They FEAR her?? ROFLOL!

Full story and comments here

Ok, back to reading for a while. No apointments or deliveries today, so maybe I can stay in my jammies until meeting time this evening!

Cell Phones and Tracking

Last year my cell phone was old and dying, needed to be replaced real bad. The kids got me a nice new one, and a new (cheaper) service provider for Mothers Day. The phone has lots of cool features, many I don't have a clue about. It even has a camera, and I got some cool ringtones, LOL!

I remember when I was setting it up, one of the settings is "Location", with the options of 'ON' or '911 ONLY'. I chose the setting for 911 ONLY. I guessed it was something like that Onstar thingy I see on TV for cars. NOPE! Don't want it! Leave me ALONE! I don't do anything criminal, I am not a drug dealer or kidnapper, and I have never robbed a bank.

So tonite, I read this at Daily Kos:

If you're like most people, you're probably not aware that your cell phone can be used to track your movements. It can. If your phone is fairly new, the odds are it has a GPS chip inside. The same technology that allows car navigation systems to know where your car is can be used to track your movements through your cell phone. But even if your phone doesn't have a GPS chip, it still has to connect to the cell phone network somehow. It transmits to the nearest cell network tower and, because the location of those towers is known, it's possible to approximate the location of you and your phone.

Looks like my 'guess' was right, about that setting on my phone! Full story can be read here.

LOL, tracking me might bore them to death! I drive around delivering Avon, tossing books in driveways, go to the Post Office and get the mail, sometimes pick up a gradaughter from school, meet people at Starbucks to sign them up, go shopping at the Dollar Store, etc.

Just an ordinary, busy life! Nothing to hide from Big Brother at all. Still, it bothers me, this potential tracking of private non-criminal citizens.

It just does!

ENOUGH!!!

KO expresses the outrage most of us are feeling towards Wall Street and their abuse of bail-out money; calls for the firing of bank executives and more stringent regulation.

I'm with Keith: ENOUGH!!

Today Was Better Than Yesterday!

I just stayed home all day today. Started entering business expenses into Nova, so I can do the dreaded "T" word next month. Nova has an area where I can enter all the little numbers needed for t@x time. The smart thing to do, is to enter things as they occur. And, of course, enter the numbers from each invoice, when the shipments arrive. Do I do it that way? Well, I have good intentions; usually, I do it that way for the first 4-5 months every year. Then I go back to procrastinating, and the invoices pile up, along with receipts, and daily mileage logs. Oh well, at least I try!

Yesterday was busy as most days have been lately. Did some deliveries, an appointment, laundry, and met one of my Reps at Starbucks for coffee and to provide help and training. It wasn't a big problem; actually, if she had read the invoice, she would have known what was going on with the missing vs not-ordered items. Simple: item not available, they substituted with a similar item.

After we finished, I headed for home. At the exit of the shopping center, I rolled forward just a bit, to see if/when the huge curve in the road was clear, so I could get on the road. Well, the dipshit sitting on my tail thought I was pulling out into the road, so she jammed forward, and rear-ended me! She hit me hard enogh to push the bumper down, where the tag was almost facing the ground!

No injuries, no damage to her car (big old Mercury) so no police. We exchanged information, and left. I got home and called my oldest son to come look at the bumper and see if maybe he and youngest son could fix it, and I could avoid the body shop. John got his friend Robert to come over too. Robert works in an auto parts/repair shop, and was able to just call someone and arrange for the right brackets to be sent over to his location this morning.

This afternoon, they fixed it. My bumper is fine now, and the cost: under $20. Except for the Obama sticker. It looks like it was hit; kind of smeared with traces of rubber or whatever.

Oh well; I'm sure I have a couple extra stickers left from the campaign. Maybe I'll just grab the Skin So Soft and remove the old sticker, and put on a new one!

Oh--speaking of bumper stickers. I was at Publix a few days ago, and saw the perfect one!

It said: wtf?? and had a picture of Palin on it! I want one of those!

"Left Wing Smear Merchants"

Now, this really made me laugh!

Are they SERIOUS?

and, if there really is a "listserv for liberals", so what!

HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY!

Photobucket

I was busy all day, with Avon stuff, then the usual home-stuff later on.

We had our corned beef and cabbage, peas, and fried potatoes. I fry my potatoes in bacon grease, and they are yummy! I know....that's not exactly 'healthy cooking', but it sure does taste good! Besides, we don't exactly have them all that often, so it's ok!

I didn't wear green today--the way I see it, I'm Irish all year, so I don't have to wear green March 17th.

For that matter, we eat corned beef and cabbage whenever the mood strikes! It's a favorite comfort food--something we ate often when I was growing up.

Corned beef and cabbage isn't actually "Irish" -- it's Irish-American. I remember as a child, my Granny said that in the old country, they were more likely to celebrate holidays with ham or a bacon joint with their potatoes and cabbage.

Hope it was a good day for all, whether there's a drop of Irish blood in your veins or not!

Florida 'Birther' Wing-Nut Proposes a 'Birth Certificate' Bill

I caught a little bit of this on CNN last night, and did another big ol' eye-roll.

Have we not been through this crap already? Has it not been verified that, YES, President Obama is a natural-born citizen of our fine country, and therefore, qualified to hold the highest office?

From TPM:

Rep. Bill Posey, a freshman Republican from Florida, is now putting forward a bill that should be good news for a particular demographic that cares a whole lot about their issue: Those folks out there who insist that President Obama hasn't offered a birth certificate to prove he's a natural-born U.S. citizen.

Know what I think? I think maybe it's time to require proof of critical thinking skills for anyone running for public office! ENOUGH already, with the fidgits!

WORST PERONS

And now....WORST PERSON OF THE WORLD OF THE WEEK!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Extra Deposit Slips!

I have a bunch of extra deposit slips for my checking account.

Since the governors of TX, NC, MS and LA are "refusing" their state's stimulus money...

I was thinking, maybe if I sent them deposit slips, maybe I could get just a few thouand of the dollars they don't want?

I am not asking for much....just a few thousand! Not greedy at all, but a little bit of that money sure would help!

----------------------------------------------------

Another LONG Week!

But I really didn't fall off the face of the earth!

Just busy with stuff here in my world, and trying to keep up with customers, my Reps, paperwork, phone calls, updating my Avon site, and that of another Rep...just the usual stuff.

Today, while on the road, I came to a light where I needed to turn left. There had been an accident: bicycle vs SUV. The guy from the bike was lying there in the road, all battered, yelling out in severe pain. Bike's pretty crumpled. Right near him and the bike, an SUV, with a shattered windshield.

Police at the intersection gave my left turn lane the "go ahead". As I turned, I saw the man's sneaker's....one in each of the 2 westbound lanes, and a cap in the road. He was literally knocked out of his shoes!

I'm guessing when he was hit, he flew off the bike, into the windshield, before hitting the pavement. I'll check the news at 11 and see if there's any news on it.

Product Review

Ok, this blog was NOT created to push Avon's product line, but I just have to comment on the ANEW CLINICAL DERMA-FULL X3 FACIAL FILLING SERUM.

I got it in a Preferred Preview package, only because I forgot to call and cancel it, and I LOVE it!

I have used it for a few nights, and yes, I can see a difference already!

Do I look like a 20 yr old again? NO! Jeez, I really don't want to look 20 again....but let's face it: who doesn't want to look a little better, a little younger? And, not have to go through the pain and expense involved with medical procedures?

I am lucky in the genetic department--I come from a long line of women who always looked a lot younger than they actually were. My maternal Grandma lived to the age of 99-she looked more like someone in their mid to late 70s! She had great skin, and so did my Mom!

My skin and my daughter's too, is pretty decent. But let's face it---we are getting wrinkles and loss of elasticity, firmness in our faces as we age, even with Grandma's good genes!

Here's the scoop on it, directly from Avon:

new
INTRODUCING ANEW CLINICAL DERMA-FULL X3 FACIAL FILLING SERUM AND DERMA-FULL FACIAL FILLING CREAM†

Fullness perfected, not injected. First from Avon: injectable-grade facial filler now in topical treatments.

GET THE FACTS ABOUT HYALURONIC ACID

WHAT IS IT?
Naturally produced by skin, hyaluronic acid provides moisture and fullness from within—but production decreases with age.

WHY INJECTABLE-GRADE?
It is the same high-quality, powerful hyaluronic acid pure enough for dermatologists to use for facial-filling injections.

HOW DOES ANEW USE IT?

Anew has harnessed the power of injectable-grade hyaluronic acid to stimulate filling fibers to help restore youthful fullness and fill in deep folds.

†Derma-Full Serum and Cream should not be used together.

The quote above is from the "What's New", which is the Demo Book where we Reps can order products in advance. There's no link I can share, because it is from the Rep ordering site, so I just copied the info here.

ANEW CLINICAL Derma-Full X3 Facial Filling Serum will be available in Campaign 7, for $54.00

There is also a CREAM version, not as strong as the serum; it will also be available in Campaign 7, for $34.00

Both are treatments, meant for night-time use; applied after cleansing, and before moisturizer of choice.

I LOVE this stuff, and hope my customers will love it too! Samples have been given, and are available on request, as always.

Bill Seeks to Let FDIC Borrow up to $500 Billion

Now, this really freaks me out!

Even before my own bank failed a few weeks ago, I had wondered...with all the bank failures, bail-outs and such...was it possible that the FDIC might run out of money, after covering so many failed banks and their account holders?

I read this story this evening, and have to admit, it makes me nervous!

I still have my (very small) accounts at the same bank that failed three weeks ago; I just keep enough money in there to keep the accounts open.

I'm waiting to see what happens. Are we going into a Depression? Are we already there? After all, the previous administration denied the Recession until it was already a fact for at least a year!

I look forward to President Obama's weekly address--he always gives me HOPE!

Another Crazy-Busy Week!

Delivering orders took more time than it should have this week. These tough economic times don't make it easy to get the orders delivered in just a couple days--too many are barely scraping by, and payday is Friday, so we wait, or hold checks until Friday after 2pm.

Thursday was the meeting in Brandon. Lots of information was shared with us on the new Lead Share and the Online Appointment Process. There are already some 'bugs' to work out with the Lead Share, such as the same lead going to both a Spanish-speaking and an English-speaking Rep. And the way Leads are distributed: the first 5 leads go to the DM. Next 5 rotate among eligible Leadership Reps in the district, according to language preference. In my District, the eligble Reps are me (English) and 2 others (Spanish).

Online appointments go 'live' Monday, so I'll be working on all the ways to get that up and running, without breaking the 'rules'.

Mid-week, I felt like shit! Aching in every possible joint, intermittent low-grade fever and chills; no sore throat, just a mild cough, and the need for extra sleep. Mild case of the flu, or just fighting it off, whatever! I don't DO sick--it's been about three years since I last had a cold or the flu! Thankfully, it was brief!

Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius' nomination to President Obama's Cabinet

Obama on Monday nominated Sebelius to head the Department of Health and Human Services. Cabinet nominations require Senate confirmation, and anti-abortion groups already are making their views known.

Analysts suspected that Obama would face a battle over abortion if and when he makes a nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court, but religious conservatives could use Sebelius as a warm-up for the seemingly inevitable fight.

Calling Sebelius an "enemy of the unborn," Catholic League President Bill Donohue said the Kansas governor's nomination is particularly disturbing because the health and human services secretary is one of the few members of the administration who can directly affect abortion policy.

Full article here

My thoughts on the whole abortion issue? Easy! It's a No-Brainer! Don't believe in abortion? DON'T HAVE ONE! What is so difficult about that?

I value life, and seriously doubt I would ever have chosen to abort a pregnancy. However, I believe in CHOICE! Leave that difficult decision to those who face it.

Plain and simple, the Church, whether it is Catholic, Baptist, Methodist or any other flavor, needs to just BUTT OUT of government and lawmaking!

GRRRRR!

Jon Stewart is great! As always!

Ripping Sarah Palin

Just a little Saturday night humor, from YouTube!

Sorry, can't help it, this just cracked me up!

We really made the right choice last November, America!

Yes, we DID!

Green!

I try my best, each and every day, to go green whenever and however I can. I no longer have my items bagged in plastic or even paper anymore. We rinse and recycly glass jars and cans, and break down cardboard boxes for the recycle bin. Newspaper gets recycled into the bottom of the bird cages. But I am just NOT ready for this!

Wallypop

Nope! Not me!
