Bristol Palin: PR/Political Consultant?

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

I read about this new "business venture" earlier today on a couple of blogs, and was happy to hear on my sick teevee, that Rachel was covering it.

What is really up with the BSMP LLC? Is it to show the courts that Bristol has a job and her own income, whenever that custody case comes up? Could it be a way of funneling some of the money from $arahPac? Or is it just another shiny object, thrown out to divert attention from some of the 'gates' surrounding the Quitter?

When will the Quitter tweet about this? When will her ghostwriter post on FB about it? Will she/they spin it all somehow, and blame it on President Obama?

Grab some popcorn, an adult beverage of choice, sit back and enjoy the show!

"Maybe it's Satan"

With my messed up TV, I only heard bits and pieces of The Ed Show earlier this evening, so I missed seeing one of my most favorite people on tonite!

Luckily, I found the video on TPM:

I am still LMFAO at the "Maybe it's Satan".

A Quiet (COLD!) Sunday

I stayed in my jammies, fuzzy slippers and robe all day, reading blogs, listening to the teevee. My jammies for the times we get a cold front and the temps drop below 60: sweat suits!

I just peeked at the local weather online: current temp is 46, and it's supposed to get down to 38 overnight. No wonder I am freezing! Jeez! I did NOT move to FL to be cold in the winter!

I am 'listening to the teevee' here in my bedroom, not watching it. It's old, and on it's deathbed. When I get a picture on it, it's all messed up, and the sound is distorted with a loud humming noise. When there is NO picture, the sound is perfect.

Yesterday, I looked at the Good Will store, to see what tv's they might have. They had ONE: a little 13" one. I looked all over that one, and there was no place to plug it into a cable box--so, it wouldn't get anything at all. Oh well.

Maybe tomorrow, if there's time, I'll get to the one remaining KMart store and see what they have. I hear KMart still does lay-a-way, LOL!

If nothing else works out, I could just move the tv from the family room to my room. Or, move the computer to the family room?

Tomorrow, I must get out of the pj's (sweats) and go out; there's one 'stop & drop delivery', and a basket of brochures to toss. I dread going out in the cold, but at least the heater in the truck works--or it did the last time I needed it! ;)

H1N1 Vaccine?

Did YOU get the vaccine?

Why or Why Not?

I did NOT.

Because:

I seldom catch so much as a common cold, let alone the flu! I think my last cold was before my Dad passed on; almost 5 years ago.

With reports of vaccine shortages, I felt it was better that I leave 'my' dose for someone else who might need it more.

I absolutely HATE needles!

Limpballs: No Heart Attack!

In his little press conference, Rush says the docs found no coronary artery disease, blahblahblah.

Something funny he said: "I got an angiogram....a catheter treatment through the heart...."

I hate to inform you, Mr. Limpballs....an angiogram is NOT a treatment. It is a diagnostic procedure involving the use of X-ray imaging to see the inside of the heart's blood vessels.

And, of course it was negative---the gasbag has no heart!

Notice how he states that he received the best care in the world, and there is "nothing wrong" with our health care system. HA! Easy to say and believe excellent health care is available in our country...IF one happens to be a millionaire and/or have good health insurance!

Welcome, 2010!

WOW!

A brand-new year, already!

Time seems to fly...faster with each passing year!

Christmas kept me busy---got all the Avon deliveries done, and then finished shopping for my family. It was a slim Christmas--not a whole lot of gifts. Most of the money I had available for shopping, I spent on my granddaughters. It's such a joy, to watch them open gifts--they enjoy the simplest things, like sidewalk chalk, a new movie, classic kid games.

New Years' Eve: I stayed home in my jammies, and watched Kathy Griffen/Anderson Cooper cover the celebration in Times Square. At midnite, I went out in the driveway to watch the fireworks. Neighbors across the street joined me for hugs and good wishes.

The blue moon made the night so bright and beautiful here. A little chilly...60s I think? Not too bad though!

I hope this new year will bring good things, good solutions, and better times for all of us.

PEACE!!

Countdown: Special Comment

Keith pretty much nailed it, again!

So many of us have emailed, called, signed petitions, and we have CRAP for reform??

I think it's time to throw out the "bill" and start over. Get the Public Option in, go for the Medicare buy-in.

FORGET BIPARTISANSHIP! The Repugs are going to continue to be obstructive, and go against anything that might be good for the people, so the hell with them!

Dems: it's time to grow a pair, and JUST DO IT!

NOW!

Holidays

As usual, I am not even close to ready for Christmas!

I have only picked up a few things for the girls, and a small fragrance set for youngest son. Most of the remaining gifts will be gift cards. Kids are grown, and actually love the gift cards, so that makes things a lot easier!

Christmas dinner? Most likely, I'll just go to Publix and get one of their already-cooked dinners, since I still have the broken oven. Publix does a decent meal; but I really prefer my own cooking. Maybe next year, I can do my own, LOL!

Mail Call

I have a PO Box, so I don't check the mail every day, like those who get the mail at their houses. I only pick up the mail once or twice a week, depending on where else my days take me. Sometimes, the mail piles up and sits there, un-opened for a while.

Today I opened some mail that I picked up on my last trip to post office. One of the bills is for tag renewal for my truck: $70.15! WTF!?! I had heard something earlier this year about the fees going up this year, but THAT MUCH??

Seriously, I will have to look around the Tax Collector website and see if I can find out why it jumped up so much.

And, I'll have to adjust the monthly budget, and find the extra money to renew.

What's Up?

I just have not felt like writing or saying much of anything--here or anywhere for a while. The words just have been on hold or whatever! Happens sometimes, what can I say?

I have been watching the news shows, reading, and listening to radio shows, trying to stay on top of what's happening in the world. I just did not feel any words trying to break out, so other than a few comments on favorite blogs, I have stayed quiet.

Now, it's time to type again, so watch for typos, LOL!
