WORST PERONS

And now....WORST PERSON OF THE WORLD OF THE WEEK!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Extra Deposit Slips!

I have a bunch of extra deposit slips for my checking account.

Since the governors of TX, NC, MS and LA are "refusing" their state's stimulus money...

I was thinking, maybe if I sent them deposit slips, maybe I could get just a few thouand of the dollars they don't want?

I am not asking for much....just a few thousand! Not greedy at all, but a little bit of that money sure would help!

----------------------------------------------------

Another LONG Week!

But I really didn't fall off the face of the earth!

Just busy with stuff here in my world, and trying to keep up with customers, my Reps, paperwork, phone calls, updating my Avon site, and that of another Rep...just the usual stuff.

Today, while on the road, I came to a light where I needed to turn left. There had been an accident: bicycle vs SUV. The guy from the bike was lying there in the road, all battered, yelling out in severe pain. Bike's pretty crumpled. Right near him and the bike, an SUV, with a shattered windshield.

Police at the intersection gave my left turn lane the "go ahead". As I turned, I saw the man's sneaker's....one in each of the 2 westbound lanes, and a cap in the road. He was literally knocked out of his shoes!

I'm guessing when he was hit, he flew off the bike, into the windshield, before hitting the pavement. I'll check the news at 11 and see if there's any news on it.

Product Review

Ok, this blog was NOT created to push Avon's product line, but I just have to comment on the ANEW CLINICAL DERMA-FULL X3 FACIAL FILLING SERUM.

I got it in a Preferred Preview package, only because I forgot to call and cancel it, and I LOVE it!

I have used it for a few nights, and yes, I can see a difference already!

Do I look like a 20 yr old again? NO! Jeez, I really don't want to look 20 again....but let's face it: who doesn't want to look a little better, a little younger? And, not have to go through the pain and expense involved with medical procedures?

I am lucky in the genetic department--I come from a long line of women who always looked a lot younger than they actually were. My maternal Grandma lived to the age of 99-she looked more like someone in their mid to late 70s! She had great skin, and so did my Mom!

My skin and my daughter's too, is pretty decent. But let's face it---we are getting wrinkles and loss of elasticity, firmness in our faces as we age, even with Grandma's good genes!

Here's the scoop on it, directly from Avon:

new
INTRODUCING ANEW CLINICAL DERMA-FULL X3 FACIAL FILLING SERUM AND DERMA-FULL FACIAL FILLING CREAM†

Fullness perfected, not injected. First from Avon: injectable-grade facial filler now in topical treatments.

GET THE FACTS ABOUT HYALURONIC ACID

WHAT IS IT?
Naturally produced by skin, hyaluronic acid provides moisture and fullness from within—but production decreases with age.

WHY INJECTABLE-GRADE?
It is the same high-quality, powerful hyaluronic acid pure enough for dermatologists to use for facial-filling injections.

HOW DOES ANEW USE IT?

Anew has harnessed the power of injectable-grade hyaluronic acid to stimulate filling fibers to help restore youthful fullness and fill in deep folds.

†Derma-Full Serum and Cream should not be used together.

The quote above is from the "What's New", which is the Demo Book where we Reps can order products in advance. There's no link I can share, because it is from the Rep ordering site, so I just copied the info here.

ANEW CLINICAL Derma-Full X3 Facial Filling Serum will be available in Campaign 7, for $54.00

There is also a CREAM version, not as strong as the serum; it will also be available in Campaign 7, for $34.00

Both are treatments, meant for night-time use; applied after cleansing, and before moisturizer of choice.

I LOVE this stuff, and hope my customers will love it too! Samples have been given, and are available on request, as always.

Bill Seeks to Let FDIC Borrow up to $500 Billion

Now, this really freaks me out!

Even before my own bank failed a few weeks ago, I had wondered...with all the bank failures, bail-outs and such...was it possible that the FDIC might run out of money, after covering so many failed banks and their account holders?

I read this story this evening, and have to admit, it makes me nervous!

I still have my (very small) accounts at the same bank that failed three weeks ago; I just keep enough money in there to keep the accounts open.

I'm waiting to see what happens. Are we going into a Depression? Are we already there? After all, the previous administration denied the Recession until it was already a fact for at least a year!

I look forward to President Obama's weekly address--he always gives me HOPE!

Another Crazy-Busy Week!

Delivering orders took more time than it should have this week. These tough economic times don't make it easy to get the orders delivered in just a couple days--too many are barely scraping by, and payday is Friday, so we wait, or hold checks until Friday after 2pm.

Thursday was the meeting in Brandon. Lots of information was shared with us on the new Lead Share and the Online Appointment Process. There are already some 'bugs' to work out with the Lead Share, such as the same lead going to both a Spanish-speaking and an English-speaking Rep. And the way Leads are distributed: the first 5 leads go to the DM. Next 5 rotate among eligible Leadership Reps in the district, according to language preference. In my District, the eligble Reps are me (English) and 2 others (Spanish).

Online appointments go 'live' Monday, so I'll be working on all the ways to get that up and running, without breaking the 'rules'.

Mid-week, I felt like shit! Aching in every possible joint, intermittent low-grade fever and chills; no sore throat, just a mild cough, and the need for extra sleep. Mild case of the flu, or just fighting it off, whatever! I don't DO sick--it's been about three years since I last had a cold or the flu! Thankfully, it was brief!

Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius' nomination to President Obama's Cabinet

Obama on Monday nominated Sebelius to head the Department of Health and Human Services. Cabinet nominations require Senate confirmation, and anti-abortion groups already are making their views known.

Analysts suspected that Obama would face a battle over abortion if and when he makes a nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court, but religious conservatives could use Sebelius as a warm-up for the seemingly inevitable fight.

Calling Sebelius an "enemy of the unborn," Catholic League President Bill Donohue said the Kansas governor's nomination is particularly disturbing because the health and human services secretary is one of the few members of the administration who can directly affect abortion policy.

Full article here

My thoughts on the whole abortion issue? Easy! It's a No-Brainer! Don't believe in abortion? DON'T HAVE ONE! What is so difficult about that?

I value life, and seriously doubt I would ever have chosen to abort a pregnancy. However, I believe in CHOICE! Leave that difficult decision to those who face it.

Plain and simple, the Church, whether it is Catholic, Baptist, Methodist or any other flavor, needs to just BUTT OUT of government and lawmaking!

GRRRRR!

The Daily Show: Fox News and Joe Biden Gaffe

Jon Stewart is great! As always!

Ripping Sarah Palin

Just a little Saturday night humor, from YouTube!

Sorry, can't help it, this just cracked me up!

We really made the right choice last November, America!

Yes, we DID!

Green!

I try my best, each and every day, to go green whenever and however I can. I no longer have my items bagged in plastic or even paper anymore. We rinse and recycly glass jars and cans, and break down cardboard boxes for the recycle bin. Newspaper gets recycled into the bottom of the bird cages. But I am just NOT ready for this!

Wallypop

Nope! Not me!
