One year ago today, Barrack Obama was inaugurated to the Presidency.
I spent the day and evening, happily watching on TV, all the ceremonies and events, and loved every minute of it.
I volunteered in the 2008 Campaign, and did a lot of door-knocking and phone-banking. I had the yard signs, brought in every night, so they didn't disappear. The bumper stickers are still on my truck. I still wear my Obama t-shirt.
Has he done everything I hoped for? No. We still have a long way to go.
Am I still happy that I supported his campaign, and voted for him, even though we still have so much to work on? HELL YES!
Part of the problem is ME--I am like a kid. I want it all, and I want it yesterday.
And that is not realistic.
I will continue to support and believe in our President, and be PROUD to have him in charge.
Can you even imagine if things had gone the other way? Can you imagine what it would be like if we had McShame and O'Palin in charge? That is the stuff nightmares are made of!
